Kathy and I just returned from the 2010 WPPI Convention (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  In attendance were 14,000 photographers from around the world.  We spent a week training with some of the top photographers in the world.   We are excited to bring back so many new cutting edge skills and ideas that will benefit our wedding and high school senior photography clients.  More on that later.

The Detroit Red Wing Alumni vs the Port Huron Hockey Alumni Old School Hockey Charity Game ended in a 5-5 tie at McMorran Arena, In Port Huron Michigan.  The Wings Alimni was coached by Hockey Hall of Fame, Alex Delvecchio.  Detroit’s own Karen Newman sang the National Anthem.  Click the video below to see hockey greats Alex Delvecchio, Mickey Redmond, Dennis Hextall, Joe Kocur, John Ogrodnick, Shawn Burr, Brent Fedyk, Mike Krushelnyski, Paul Mackinnon, Pat Peak and more.

Valene and Brandon were married at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Port Huron.  Their Reception was at the beautiful Fore Lakes Golf Course.  The outdoor portion of the photo and video shoot was quick due to the freezing temperatures, but we managed to get some awesome shots under the Blue Water Bridge as ice flowed down the St. Clair River.  Valene’s cousin, Dave Liniarski’s band the Rivertown Gents, rocked the party.  Elvis, cousin Stan Liniarski, also made an appearance and performed a few hits for his fans!

Katie and Ben’s wedding day in Port Huron, Michigan, was memorable from beginning to end.  They flew in from Colorado to be married in Katie’s home Church, Griswold Street Baptist Church in Port Huron.  Their reception was held at the Thomas Edison Inn located under the Blue Water Bridge.  Cory Moretz from Ultimate Sounds kept the dance floor packed all night.  Their Love Story Video that we created was a big hit.  They were interviewed separately to described how they met, the first date and the proposal.  We edited it together to blend their story into a charming video.  Below is a snippet from their Love Story - The Proposal.

Meghan and Jason were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Clair, Michigan.  The beautiful fall day allowed us to get some great out door wedding photos along the St. Clair Boardwalk.  On our way to the reception at Alexander’s Banquet Hall in Marysville, the wedding party’s limo stopped at Marysville Beach along the St. Clair River.  The fall clouds were gorgeous in their photos.  Check our sample of their Wedding photographs.
